For those who still love the Expos, or for those who just like to look back, watch this video. If you're an Expos fan, get ready to feel remorse and joy all wrapped into one.

lump in throat.
Very nice ..
I lived in Montreal in the early 1990's. Listening to the radio broadcast was always a treat.
Greatest...video...ever.
Agreed - Dave Van Horne's was the best. So fluid and seamless (yes - no seams). Can hear him now, "Up with Hudler over to...".
And of course up, up and away. He spent a lot of time trying to come up with his signature homerun call and pulled that from Jimmy Webb's song. He would only use it for Expos homeruns, but I remember one time he said he slipped and used it for an opposition going yard.
I've now watched the video 732 times. Addictive. Don't think I'll ever not miss them.
..play at the plate!...
Absolutely Awesome……..it’s amazing looking back the number of great players and characters that played for them…that’s why we loved them
this was well done. a lot of work to pull all these clips together. I had forgotten how shaggy the Spaceman's beard was. right out of ZZ Top. I followed them from day. I was 14 and had been following baseball for a few years (Pirates, the Tribe and the Tigers) when the Expos came on the scene. the early years were a combination of just pure fun, marginal players on marginal teams, but they were all really appreciative of the chance to play in the Bigs. really just fun. the stadium announcer's exaggerated way of calling out names like John Boccabelllllaaaa was great. they introduced the game to a lot of Canadians. Rusty Staub and Mack Jones were the "stars" coming out of year one and if I remember correctly, Staub more or less made his year-round home in Montreal and became the Expos' ambassador to the public. there was no doubt they were Canada's team, which is one of the reasons I have always hated the Jays. before the Jays I could get the Expos games on any radio station, and they were always on TV. after the Jays I had a hard time following them as Ontario media started switching to the Jays. I had to try to tune into a really weak radio signal out of Peterborough and then Belleville after Peterborough stopped carrying the games. I ordered all the team's annual team books from day 1 and copied hundreds of blank score cards and I scored games for years. I loved Jarry Parc. I went to my first MLB game in either 1969 or 1970 with my dad and uncle at Parc Jarry. I still remember that the Expos beat the Mets 4-3 and that Adolfo Phillips played centerfield for the Expos. The aluminum bench seats were brutal (we must have been in the bleachers - third base line side I think) - but I loved every minute. I seem to recall that the swimming pool was open just over the right-field wall and folks were having a blast - I think it was July. I went to many more games at the Big O and hated that place. it wasn't a fun place. I remember freezing in my seat in mid-August. and to this day I far prefer the National League style of play.
I’ve already watched it 3 times this morning...
I grew up an Expos fan in Rochester NY, listening to Dave and Duke on 800 CJBQ, Belleville for many years. This is the greatest 3 minutes and 46 seconds of video that I've ever seen. Bravo. Thank you.
Will always give me goose bumps Dave.
